The Zeus is a cruiser class ship for the Post-Human Coalition.
Tough, short ranged cruiser strong versus frigates.
Background
The Zeus is directly inspired by the Typhon Rage Warrior cruiser. It was first encountered on CT-941 when the claim jumper Typhon used several of them to annihilate the entire PHC Brute force. The “Zeus” was the first of the Greek God cruisers to be produced. Its primary weapon, the “God of Thunder” is devastating to any units within its short-range, thus making it particularly effective against massed frigates. It also has dual laser cannons that provide additional, though limited, defense against longer ranged units such as the Archer.

Game Usage
- Zeus is capable of annihilating frigates with the "Chain Lightning" weapon, which does massive multi-hit damage in a frontal cone, clearing away any frigates trying to approach it. While this weapon can only target frigates, other units caught in its path will also suffer rather significant damage.
- The Zeus weakness is its slow speed. Thus, while the frigates might have trouble killing it, they might not have to do so, leaving the job to Athena and/or Mauler instead. With enough quantity however, frigates squads can still find success trying to overpower a lone Zeus, but might still suffer quite some losses if the Avenger manages to fire its main weapon before dying.
- As Zeus has almost twice the durability of the Avenger, a moderate amount of Zeus means an almost complete shutdown of frigates, due to how durable it is, especially with Medic support. If a frigate approach is to be maintained, they should avoid confronting Zeus-heavy armies.
